Yallowega Bélanger Salach Architecture is a full-service architectural firm based in Sudbury, Ontario. The firm possesses a rich history of shaping the landscape across Northern Ontario since 1964. Over the past 50 years, the firm has been led by notable visionary architects and its landmark designs remain staples in local and international communities to this day.
YBSA’s most recent evolution was the addition of architect Amber Salach to the list of accomplished principals of the firm, sparking a name change and a shift in the creative approach to the brand. With such a rich history in architecture, YBSA wanted to build upon the previous five decades of experience, while signalling the optimism and energy that surrounds the brand today.
We designed and developed a website that features important information about YBSA’s origins, work experience, place in the community, and the team behind it all. We set out to build a website that put architecture at the forefront. We decided to minimize the visual impact of text, so we could emphasize project photography throughout the site.
With intuitive usability in mind, we designed subtle interactions and focused on simplifying the user experience. Equally important to the project’s success was delivering a website for today’s ever-evolving user. The responsive website is built using WordPress so staff can easily and efficiently edit information, update projects and manage the online portfolio.
YBSA is a regional leader in architecture. With our help, the website now exemplifies that leadership role the firm exudes.
